Representatives of Laser Ing, led by CEO Leonardo Kaščel and company founder Anđelko Kaščel, took part in the event organized by the Croatian Chamber of Economy in Austria, titled “Return to the Homeland.”

At this unique gathering, representatives of the Croatian Chamber of Economy in Austria, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry of Demography, informed attendees about sectors with potential, open job positions, and business opportunities in Croatia.

It is estimated that around 80,000 Croats live in Austria, some of whom—especially those who emigrated after Croatia joined the EU—might be interested in returning. The target audience includes citizens considering a return and interested in state incentives and employment opportunities.

Participants, including representatives of Croatian communities and Burgenland Croats, were presented with opportunities for returning, as well as key information on education, healthcare, labor rights, and tax benefits.

“Laser Ing proudly offers employment opportunities in a continuously developing sector and supports the return of Croatian citizens to their homeland. Through our work, we aim to motivate professionals to apply their knowledge and skills in Croatia, contribute to its development, and achieve an exceptional quality of life,” said Leonardo Kaščel, CEO of Laser Ing.

Anđelko Kaščel, founder of Laser Ing and guest panelist, emphasized:

“The fact is that the Republic of Croatia, as a member of the European Union and the Eurozone, now has the opportunity to participate equally in the market, giving us almost the same starting position as most other EU member states. The era of rapid progress in Germany—driven by the Marshall Plan, cheap Russian energy, and a highly skilled and inexpensive labor force from similar cultural backgrounds—is now behind us. Croatia has the chance to succeed based on its own work ethic and creativity, and in the next five years, it can reach or even surpass the living standards of many developed countries.”

“I invite everyone present to reflect on the role of the media, which often creates the perception that nothing is worth producing in Croatia—while at the same time, foreign companies are investing and becoming owners. Are the media reporting realistically, or are they pursuing other agendas? Croatia offers unique value and opportunities to all who seek personal and professional success in a country that truly has much to offer,” said Anđelko Kaščel.

At the accompanying job fair, companies such as Kamgrad, Viktor Lenac Shipyard, Auto Hrvatska, Laser Engineering, AB Gradnja, Aminess, Jadran Hotels, and others presented themselves—along with job profiles, required competencies, and open positions with Croatian employers.
