This year’s Laser Ing Christmas reception was held on 5 December 2025 at Ranch Kurilovec, a popular event venue in a green setting near Velika Gorica, known for its rustic-industrial interior and large open spaces for events.

In a pleasant atmosphere, with music and a rich selection of food and drinks, employees gathered to mark the end of another business-intensive yet successful year. This was also the company’s 11th Christmas reception – a tradition that has, over time, become one of the most important gatherings for the Laser Ing team, an opportunity to strengthen relationships outside the production floor and offices and to celebrate their shared work.

Management’s message: a year of growth, efficiency, and reputation

At the beginning of the evening, Leonardo Kaščel, CEO and former Chairman of the Management Board of Laser Ing, addressed the gathered employees. In his brief review of 2025, he pointed out that the company had performed excellently and that results had exceeded plans across most key indicators.

 “These figures are the result of hard work and togetherness, and for that I am sincerely grateful,” said Leonardo Kaščel.

He placed particular emphasis on the 30% increase in efficiency, achieved by relocating and consolidating part of the production capacity from the separate facility in Velika Gorica to the company’s main address, while the production facility in Velika Gorica continues to operate successfully.

The consolidation of production capacities, optimization of internal processes, and improved coordination between teams have brought concrete operational and financial benefits, as well as greater customer satisfaction.

Thanks to long-term investment in people and teamwork, quality, and technology, Laser Ing today holds a leading position in its industry in Croatia and the position of a reliable partner at the level of the European Union.

Announcement of a management change: new Managing Director from 2026

One of the most important moments of the evening was the announcement of a new company management model. Leonardo Kaščel announced that from 1 January 2026, the role of director, alongside him, would also be assumed by Tomislav Sučić, the current CFO of Laser Ing. The previous management model with a chairman and board members is being abolished, and the company will henceforth be managed by two directors and one procurator (Valentin Kaščel).

In his address to the employees, Tomislav Sučić recalled the moment three years ago when he joined Laser Ing as CFO. Since then, through proactivity, new ideas, dedicated work, and close cooperation with the Chairman of the Management Board and the rest of the management team, he has made a significant contribution to the company’s financial consolidation and continued growth. Tomislav is also an example of how Laser Ing recognizes and develops potential within its own team, giving employees the opportunity to advance regardless of their starting position.

In his speech, Tomislav highlighted the key areas where he sees room for further improvement – above all in production, where he aims to further raise the standards of quality, control, workplace safety, and team agility. The goal is for Laser Ing to continue meeting the growing expectations of existing partners, as well as the demands of the most demanding international customers.

“Our goal is to grow, while remaining a company where people enjoy working,” emphasized Tomislav Sučić.

After the official part of the program, the evening continued in a more relaxed tone. Over dinner, music, and informal socializing, employees had the opportunity to get to know one another better outside their everyday work environment, exchange experiences from the production floor, the office, and the field, and celebrate together everything that had been achieved over the past year.

The program began on Saturday, December 13th, 2024, with organized bus transportation from Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes. Upon arrival, employees enjoyed a guided tour of the National Park, led by professional guides who showcased the park’s natural wonders and landmarks.

The afternoon hours were reserved for relaxing at the hotel’s wellness area and individual walks, while the early evening featured a pub quiz that sparked lots of laughter and brought out the team’s competitive spirit.

The formal part of the evening started with a company presentation and a speech by the management, who shared Laser Ing’s strategic goals and future direction.

Chairman of the Board, Leonardo Kaščel, expressed his satisfaction with the company’s performance in 2024, emphasizing that the results were a product of the team’s joint effort and dedication. At this unique gathering, representatives of the Croatian Chamber of Economy in Austria, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia and the Ministry of Demography, informed attendees about sectors with potential, open job positions, and business opportunities in Croatia.

It is estimated that around 80,000 Croats live in Austria, some of whom—especially those who emigrated after Croatia joined the EU—might be interested in returning. The target audience includes citizens considering a return and interested in state incentives and employment opportunities.

Participants, including representatives of Croatian communities and Burgenland Croats, were presented with opportunities for returning, as well as key information on education, healthcare, labor rights, and tax benefits.
